I worked from home again today, so my lovely wife Scarlett joined me again for this coffee walk. I actually started work super early at 6:30am so by 8:30am I was already feeling like I needed a bit of fresh air. When Scarlett came downstairs to start her day I asked her if she’d like to do a walk. I picked a coffee shop and we were on our way. We took our pup Winston with us since he hadn’t yet been on a walk either so it was a bit slower than usual but not that big of a difference. In total it took us an hour and a half to walk a little over 3 miles.

The air was a super crisp 38β this morning with 5 mph winds so we were bundled up. We walked west on the Freedom Park trail and then south on N Highland Ave into the Inman Park neighborhood to today’s destination: Inman Perk Coffee. I ordered my usual Americano and I have to say, this was my favorite so far. It was smooth, full bodied, and delicious! Scarlett got a double espresso and was meh on it, but she also isn’t a fan of coffee so her opinion doesn’t count π
We jumped on the Beltline for a moment before veering back off onto Freedom Park trail in the direction of our house. Along the way we passed Sweeties Garden (pictured) which I must’ve walked past at least a dozen times but never noticed. The Freedom Park trail is dotted with sculptures and historical plaques and I snapped some photos of those as well. The funniest “artwork” was a black boot. I’m not sure if it’s an official art installation or if someone just left it there, but on the boot is the phrase: “I want someone to lick me like a cop boot”.

This walk felt mostly flat, except when it didn’t, and when it didn’t, it was REALLY hilly. LOL!
