I worked from home today so my lovely wife Scarlett joined me on this coffee walk. This time, we walked to San Francisco Coffee Roasting Co in Candler Park. I love walking through the Candler Park neighborhood because a good portion of the way is just paved walking paths. We live in the Druid Hills neighborhood and have a string of paved paths through several connected parks that we took partway, then part of Freedom Park trail, and then just like that we’re in Candler Park. This coffee shop is a chain and this location is not as busy or as hip as the one I visited recently on N. Highland Ave but that makes sense because it’s right on the very high-traffic main artery: Dekalb Ave. Still, the interior was fun and the coffee was yummy.
This walk was a bit hilly, especially in one section. The air was crisp from the morning rain, and despite it being cloudy it was still fairly warm – especially once I got my blood moving.
