Ok, all I have to say about the end of 2011 is that I want a redo! Christmas is hands down my favorite holiday of the year. The gift portion I find incredibly stressful and would find it so much more enjoyable if they took the gift portion out of christmas and made it more about the magic. I love the lights, the trees, the colors, and just how magical everything looks. I love spending time with my friends and family.
This is our first year in Boulder, CO, so we don’t have many friends yet, and family, well our family went to Alabama for Christmas. Scarlett’s daughter, Elizabeth, also took off for the holidays and flew down to South Florida to spend time with her fathers side of family. With the traveling and all the working Scarlett and I have been doing we decided against putting up a tree so the plan was to just go to my sisters house and hang out there on Christmas. Nobody was going to be home so we were just going to hang out and have a nice little private party, just me and her.
Scarlett ended up horribly sick for Christmas weekend… so we just spent that time at home. Never did get a christmas tree. Then once she was finally starting to feel better, I came down with the bug. I have spent this entire week sick. So here it is New Years Eve and I am still feeling under the weather. Originally we were going to go out dancing but its looking like we are going to do a nice quiet New Years party tonight. That will be nice anyway. I’ve made arrangements to meet up with a couple of our friends for dinner at an italian restaurant tonight. From there, who knows…maybe we’ll go stroll Pearl Street or something.
In other news, I have my very first Mac Book! And am totally loving it! I know understand what the hype is all about 🙂
hope the weather is not too cold. this morning it was 34 degrees here and i had to bust out a jacket! hope you are feeling better now- sky v.
Thanks!
